Job Description About the Internship Payvantage is seeking a Data Analyst Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience applying data analysis to real-world business operations. This internship provides an opportunity to work with data across multiple departments, including Finance, Underwriting, Call Center, Dealer Accounts, IT, and People Operations . The intern will assist with organizing and analyzing information, preparing reports, maintaining spreadsheets and dashboards, identifying trends, and supporting projects designed to improve business processes and performance. This is an ideal opportunity for a current college student or recent graduate who is interested in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field and wants to develop practical experience in a professional business environment. You will work alongside experienced team members and receive guidance while developing skills that can be applied to future careers in analytics, finance, operations, business intelligence, and related fields. What You'll Learn During your internship, you will gain practical experience in: Collecting, organizing, and analyzing business data Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet-based analysis PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, IF statements,and data filtering Data validation and quality control Creating reports, charts, and data summaries Developing and maintaining KPI dashboards Identifying trends, patterns, and data discrepancies Analyzing month-over-month and year-over-yearperformance Supporting financial and operational reporting Business process mapping and process improvement Working with data from multiple business systems Communicating analytical findings to business leaders Cross-functional collaboration Maintainingconfidentiality of business, customer, employee, and financial information The intern may also receive exposure to tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, CRM, ERP, accounting, and business-management systems , depending on business needs and assigned projects. What You'll Do Assist with collecting and organizing data fromvarious company systems. Support the preparation of recurring and specialreports. Review data for accuracy, completeness, andconsistency. Help identify trends, patterns, discrepancies, andunusual activity. Assist with data validation and quality-controlactivities. Maintain Excel spreadsheets, databases, dashboards,and reporting tools. Assist with KPI reporting and dashboard development. Support department managers with data requests andanalytical projects. Compare information across systems and assist withresearching inconsistencies. Create charts, graphs, summaries, and presentations. Assist with identifying opportunities to improvebusiness processes and efficiency. Support projects designed to streamline or automaterepetitive reporting tasks. Maintain organized documentation of reports andanalytical projects. Work collaboratively with multiple departmentsthroughout Payvantage. Participatein special projects and other duties as assigned. Requirements Qualifications Required Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from aprogram in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, ora related field . Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work accurately with large amounts ofinformation. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to learn new systems, tools, andprocesses. Basicproficiency with Microsoft Excel. Preferred Experience with Excel PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP,SUMIFS, IF statements, and data filtering. Experience creating charts, dashboards, or reportsthrough coursework or previous experience. Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or SQL. Familiarity with CRM, ERP, accounting, orbusiness-management systems. Previousinternship, academic project, or work experience involving data analysis. Previous professional data-analysis experience is not required. Coursework, academic projects, or demonstrated interest in data analytics may be considered. Benefits Schedule Schedule: Part-Time / Full-Time - flexible Hours: 25 - 40 Schedule: Monday - Friday Location: 411 Union Street, Suite A, Jonesboro, Arkansas Work Arrangement: Office-Based The internship schedule can be structured around the student's academic schedule, based on business needs and availability.
