The Hunting Guide under strict supervision, supports hunting and fishing trips for individuals and groups in support of client entertainment and operational requirements. Pay Rate: Up to $17.00/hour, depending on experience. Assignment Length: 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors. Responsibilities: Plans itinerary for hunting and fishing trips applying knowledge of countryside to determine best routes and sites. May transport people, equipment, and supplies to hunting and fishing areas. Explains hunting and fishing laws to ensure compliance. Instructs members of party in use of hunting or fishing gear. Administers first aid to injured individuals. Assists with facilities, grounds, and equipment maintenance and repairs as required. Cares for animals. Job tasks, correctly performed, have minimal impact upon the viability of the organization. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. Skills are typically acquired through 10 plus years experience in hunting, fishing, and camping in the outdoor recreation and guide industry.
